Lankavarastoa ja keskeneräisiä töitä läpikäydessäni törmäsin vanhoihin villasukkiin, joiden pohjat olivat aivan kuluneet. Olin ilmeisesti säästänyt ne, koska varret olivat vielä ihan käyttökelpoiset.
While going through my yarn stash and WIP-projects I found these old wool socks where the soles were quite worn out. I had saved them probably because the legs were still quite usable.
Ja kuinka ollakkaan olin ostanut samanväristä Nallea (väri 009). En tosin lankaa ostaessa muistanut näitä vanhoja sukkia olevan olemassakaan.
And how happened, I had bought exactly same color of Nalle (color 009). However, when I bought this yarn, I didn't remember the existence of these old socks.
Leikkasin vanhat terät pois, poimin silmukat ja neuloin uudet terät vanhoihin varsiin. Hienoinen väriero tietysi on, mutta eipä sitä kukaan huomaa.
I cut the foots off, picked up the stitches and knitted new foots to old legs. There's a slight difference in the color shade of course but I don't think nobody will notice it.
